Fish Report Summary for June 2007

June fishing was great on the near shore reefs. Most trips produced lots of Spanish Mackerel for light tackle action with a mixed bag of larger fish. Cobia to 52 inches, some huge Snook, 40 to 50 inch range, a couple of Tarpon, and the usual Barracuda and Sharks.

The bottom fishing is finally recovering from the 2005 red tide. Nice Mangrove Snapper, an occasional Gag Grouper and Flounder are regular catches. The Goliath Grouper (protected species) are on every reef. If you wont to test your stamina, this is the fish for you.

Call me at 239-273-6122 for reservations.
